## $VER: JPEG with or without .map 1.0
##
If you do not have AGA stop reading... This is a useless download... Sorry!
I recently came into the aga age, and I found two ways to show JPEG
pictures... One is using FastJPEG 1.10 AGA - A fast JPEG picture viewer
Copyright © 1993,1994 Christoph Feck, TowerSystems, and one was jpegAGA 2.2
by Günther Röhrich. This last one can use a .map file thus increasing the
quality off jpeg display considerably. I had a button assigned in opus to
create a map file for every jpeg I had, but thought there should be an
easier way...
Here it is :-) A script for opus 4 (maybe 5 ?), that will do the following:
First it will check if there is a .map file with the jpeg.
If there is none, it will display the image using FastJPEG 1.10 AGA;
After this it will aks you if you would like to create a .map file;
On a positive answer it will generate a .map file and redisplay the image
using jpegAGA 2.2. See the difference ?
If there is a .map file available, the script will jump directly to
displaying the image using jpegAGA 2.2...
One note though... you need to assign JPEGTMP: to somewhere on your HD !!!
i.e.
assign JPEGTMP: dh0:trashcan.
Put it in your user-startup for more convienience...

This is how to do it:
Start the config editor (logical step isn't it ??)
If you have no JPEG in DOPUS already, Enter the filetypes section. In the
MENU classes choose edit and search for JPEG... If it is not there, select
CANCEL, and from the MENU classes choose new...
The file class should be set to picture, JPEG
The Class ID should be set to JPG
enter Match $FFD8FFE0
or
MatchName *jp#?g
as qualifiers, and OKAY your way out... SAVE the fileclasses !!!
Now for the easy part :-)
select from the MENU classes the (new ?) JPEG.
---------------------------------------
ACTION: Double-click
Batch dopus:modules/batch/JPEG-asks {f} {Qs}
FLAGS: Output window
---------------------------------------
Exit the configeditor, and (if not excisting already) MAKEDIR in the
dopus: directory, called modules (it SHOULD be there already...). Enter
the dopus:modules/ directory, and MAKEDIR BATCH (your path should look
like DOPUS:MODULES/batch/ !!).
Copy the JPEG-asks script there. Copy everyhing from the c/ directory
in the archive to your c: directory.
double click a jpeg picture, and the magic starts !

Let me know what you think, and if you use it (and why not...?).
